     Over the years I have never met a sharpener who dreamed of becoming one since grade school. Everyone has a long road behind, leading to this wonderful and rewarding career.

     Mine began with finding myself behind the chair, after traveling the world and trying on different professions. Hair has always been my love and passion, especially all the knowledge that forms the art of doing hair.

     After years in the industry, having acquired quite a collection of shears, I still couldn't locate someone who would sharpen them to my satisfaction. And then I happened to be at a hair convention in California, where I came across the most amazing pair of texturizers that were sharpened in a peculiar way. That's when the idea of  learning the trade myself started taking shape. I got in a car and drove across the country from Minnesota to Florida for training. I brought back equipment and priceless knowledge of an amazing art.

     Like most things in life, starting a new business has not been easy but when you do what you love and firmly believe in the integrity of your work, things tend to line up eventually. I am still behind the chair, would not trade that for the world, and it aids immensely in understanding the needs of fellow stylists, be that extra education or maintaining the tools.
